Submission Guidelines

STUDIO 300 Digital Art and Music Festival, 2021: DEADLINE is July 30, 2021

TRANSYLVANIA UNIVERSITY is accepting submissions for the STUDIO 300 Digital Art and Music Festival. This international festival will take place in Lexington, Kentucky, USA on October 6 & 7 2021.

Mission

The Studio 300 Festival explores creative manifestations of technology through concerts and exhibitions of digital art and music. This year’s festival will feature concerts in Haggin Auditorium, multimedia gallery exhibits in the Morlan Gallery, and virtual works online in the Studio 300 Internet Gallery. Artists and musicians from Lexington and across world will be participating. Works exploring artificial intelligence, haptic interfaces, data visualization/sonification, robotics, hardware and internet hacking, virtual/augmented reality, ecological art/music, and interactive internet art/music are particularly welcomed, although all digital art and music submissions on other topics are also encouraged. Finally, proposals for demonstrations, talk/paper presentations, workshops, or panel discussions are also welcomed.

Submission Deadline

Submissions must be received by July 30, 2021. There is no submission fee.

Participation Guidelines

Composers and Artists whose works are accepted and programmed for performance in concerts or installations are required to attend in person. Composers and Artists are expected to provide their own performers, if needed. A registration fee of $45.00 is required for participation. Early registration fee (received before September 09, 2021) is only $30.00, instead of $45.00.

Composers and Artists whose works are accepted for the Studio 300 Internet Gallery are not required to attend in person but are certainly welcome. Participants in the Internet Gallery not required to pay a registration fee.
